By accessing or using Thingaroo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
Thingaroo provides tools that allow you to scan, catalog, value, and optionally list for sale items you own. Features include AI-powered item recognition, inventory management, virtual yard sale listings, and related functionality.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Thingaroo.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all photos, descriptions, and other content you submit to Thingaroo ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the rights to the content you submit
- Your content does not violate any third-party rights
- Your content does not include illegal or prohibited items
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Thingaroo to:
- List stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
6. Valuations and Pricing
Item valuations provided by Thingaroo are estimates based on available market data and AI analysis. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional appraisals. Thingaroo is not responsible for any decisions made based on these valuations.
7. Virtual Yard and Listings
Thingaroo may facilitate connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction between users. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of sellers to sell or buyers to pay.
8. Subscription and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
9. Intellectual Property
The Thingaroo service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without our express written permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Thingaroo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thingaroo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Thingaroo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
